Pfizer alleged that an employee stole secret COVID-19 vaccine documents.
The drugmaker accused Chun Xiao Li of uploading 12,000 files to a cloud account, several of them confidential, and when confronted she handed over a “decoy” computer.
"Pfizer reported that a "future former employee" misappropriated thousands of files, including documents containing trade secrets related to its COVID-19 vaccine, it detailed in a federal lawsuit in California."
Chun Xiao (Sherry) Li allegedly uploaded more than 12,000 files, including “dozens” of documents containing confidential information to a Google Drive account, Pfizer says in a complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.”
